  15. <p>     VICTORIOUS. SABINO GUTIERREZ, 33; in a sexual-harassment suit;
  16. in Los Angeles. Gutierrez's lawyer, Gloria Allred, a veteran
  17. litigator of sexual-harassment cases filed by women, claims
  18. her client's case is the first involving a male employee successfully
  19. alleging sexual harassment by a female superior. A jury awarded
  20. Gutierrez $1 million to compensate him for what he said was
  21. six years of almost daily sexual harassment from Maria Martinez,
  22. the chief financial officer and director of personnel at Cal-Spas,
  23. a hot-tub manufacturer where Gutierrez was a manager. Martinez
  24. fondled, kissed and, on at least one occasion, slept with the
  25. plaintiff. According to Gutierrez, his 1991 marriage aggravated
  26. his ordeal--his desk was removed from his office, and when
  27. he spurned a renewed round of come-ons, his responsibilities
  28. were handed to another worker. Finally, in 1992, Gutierrez left
  29. his $45,000-a-year job. Cal-Spas says it will appeal.
